As someone who works in a technology based service industry may I take this opportunity to congratulate you and your team of engineers in the way my PV has been designed, installed and just as importantly the after sales service I have received. From the PV installers who fitted the panels and who managed not to break any of my slates (although they were concerned that this might be a possibility), from the guys who did the ground works across my lawn and did so in a manner that one week later you can hardly see signs of the trench that was dug, and to the electricians who listened to my requests and fitted the system in a manner which minimised the impact on the outside of the house. All of which deserve my thanks.

However special thanks must go to management of Urban Energy, not only for overseeing the install and for the decisive and speedy action you took to identify the problem with the inverter and replace it so quickly (just 3 days from when the intermittent problem was identified to its successful replacement), but also for the excellent communications and customer service shown. As for the system – excellent! It has generated 20KHw in the past 4 days despite the average September weather – a figure which I am sure will improve once the trees in the east have been reduced (work starts today) and I am confident of exceeding the 2000KWh/year.

When I first heard about FIT and the MCS scheme I thought it was all a bit to good to be true; reduce my electricity costs, help reduce my carbon foot print and effectively get paid for doing so by the government, however for once in my life “too good to be true” has actually delivered and I can now sit back and enjoy the investment made for the next 25 years and beyond. Finally would I recommend Urban Energy to any of my friends? – ABSOLUTELY. In fact I have already have.

Now we are up and nearly running with our new Urban Energy solar photovoltaic system (we are waiting for E.ON to do their bit) we feel we must congratulate you all on the outstanding service you have given us from start to finish.

From the first friendly and efficient contact with your office staff to the enjoyable sales visit from Colin Tyrell which was well planned and unhurried with clear information and concise easy to understand explanations of technology and price, and the excellent folder of information left with us. The fitters were a pleasure to have here - careful, friendly, clean and professional. The electricians were the same, overcoming all difficulties calmly and quickly.

Thank you too to those in the office who helped with advice when we completed the complicated form for E.ON, who could certainly take a leaf from your book on good service.

We have now experienced our new pv panels for the first week in mixed weather conditions. They have generated 70 units in one week whereas we have only used 46 units. Amazingly we are generating more than we are using.

However, what we would really like to say is how impressed we have been by Urban Energy from start to finish. It started with your presentation, which was so detailed and transparently honest that we did not bother with another quotation. The status of Urban Energy grew, in our view, each time we contacted your office, with the cheerful and knowledgeable attitude of Jo when she spoke to us.

Equally enthusiastic were Colin, Sasha and John, who cheerfully and professionally installed the system.

They were followed by Glynn and Rob, the electricians who maintained a sense of humour in the rain outside, and also in the confined working conditions of our loft.

Everyone displayed care and attention for our house, even down to wearing overshoes to protect the carpet.

It was a very creditable performance by all your staff who have been fantastic ambassadors for your company.
